On top of Byker Hill, in the heart of the estate, St Michael’s Church enjoys the best view of the city. Now a communityrun arts and heritage centre it presents an exhibition of photographs by Richard Blosse and others, documenting the estate in the 1970s and 80s.

Richard's photographs are full of well observed photos in everyday life, events and environmental changes in this important time in Byker's history.
